The Barn Party: What To Wear
The biggest cowboy and cowgirl party of them all is coming up this May. This year’s Barn Party will be held at The Stables at the Polo Reserve where 2000+ will gather to celebrate country music, dancing and bottomless BBQ, but the night is also about the kids.
If you haven’t attended The Barn Party before, it’s not only for country music listeners or line dancing lovers (This year’s event will feature James Otto and Ryan Kinder). It’s a night dedicated to raising money for underprivileged and at-risk youth across the Denver Metro Area.
The guys have it easy with a pair of jeans, a flannel, and some good ol’ cowboy boots. This year Rockmount Ranch Wear, a 3rd generation business started by Jack A. Weil (1901 – 2008) who worked daily until age 107 years old, is partnering with the Denver Active 20-30 to help get you geared up for the Barn Party. Please stop by and mention you are getting gear for the Barn Party and Rockmount will give 15 % of the sale to the Denver Active 20-30. Rockmount is located at 1626 Wazee St, Denver, CO 80202 and is known for 1st introducing western shirts with snaps and also made the first commercially produced bolo ties.
But what do the ladies wear? Instead of going country-cheap, go country-chic. Leave the old denim skirt at home – you should have gotten rid of that years ago. At this year’s event, incorporate pieces that you can turn country with the right boots, but you’ll also be pulling off this season’s hottest trends.
303 Magazine is the official media sponsor of The Barn Party, as well as the Denver Polo Classic presented by Schomp BMW. Once you’re rocking your western wear, stop by the 303 photo booth – purchase tickets before they sell out! Due to this increased level of demand, we will be raising ticket prices on Thursday, May 14th at 7am to $90. Tickets will go up again on Friday, May 15th at 5pm to $100.
